As you arrive at Guwahati Airport / Railway station, our representative will be waiting for you. From there we will drive to Kaziranga, the Rhinos’ Country. Upon arrival at Kaziranga, we will check in to resort. After freshening up you can go on a guided tour through the forest near your accommodation along the river bank. You can also visit the tea garden and rubber plantation. Later return to the resort for overnight stay.
Get up early for elephant safari into the forest. Our representative will take you to the elephant riding point by jeeps. Here we will be carried through the tall grass. Meanwhile the morning mists will slowly lift leading to an experience that one cannot forget easily. The elephant safari is the best mean for wildlife viewing as the wild animals are not afraid of the elephants and it is possible to observe them from very closely. Return to the resort for breakfast. After breakfast, we will go for jeep safari in the national park for wildlife viewing in the central zone. Later return to the resort for unwinding yourself and having lunch. After lunch we will go on our second jeep safari of the day, this time we will visit the Western zone of the national park. One can also spend some time at the Donga view point, situated in western zone. Return to the resort for overnight stay.
Enjoy jeep safari to the national park in the morning and later after breakfast drive to Shillong via Guwahati. Enroute we will have a short halt at Barapani Umiam Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. Upon arrival, check into the hotel for overnight stay.
After an early breakfast leave for Cherrapunjee, It is the wettest destination in the world and on your drive to Cherrapunjee, you will come across roaring waterfalls diving into unfathomable gorges. Upon arrival, check into a hotel. Freshen up and then visit the famous Nohsngithiang Falls, Nohkalikai fall, Mawsmai Cave. Return to hotel by evening for overnight stay.
Early morning we will visit the cleanest village in India that is nearly 28 kms from Cherrapunjee. Just close to the scenic village, there are interesting sights like the living roots bridge and a beautiful sight boulder balancing on another rock. In the afternoon we will return back to Shillong and enroute we will visit the Elephanta falls and Shillong Peak for enjoying some breath taking views. Upon arrival at Shillong, we will transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.
In the morning after breakfast, we will go on local tour of Shillong. We will visit the Ward Lake and Hydari Park. Later, drive to Guwahati. Upon arrival, check into a hotel. In the evening enjoy sunset boat cruise on Brahmaputra. Overnight stay at hotel.
Morning will be comparatively free and closer to the time of your flight, you will be transferred to the Airport in time to board your flight for Paro Once you arrive in Paro, you will be received by our representative and guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Thimphu. Upon arrival, proceed for check in at your hotel. Evening stroll around the Market or take rest at the hotel.
After breakfast go for half day Thimphu sightseeing, visit the indigenous hospital, art and craft school and National Museum. Afternoon drive to Wangdue Phodrangphodrang, the last town on the highway before entering central Bhutan. The drive over Dochu La pass is very scenic with fascinating view of mountains of Bhutan. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel.
After breakfast go for Full day Gangtey excursion. Gangtey Gompa in the Phobjikha Valley is a 16th century monastery. It is the only monastery in Bhutan, which follows the Nyingmapa sect of Buddhism. The Phobjikha valley is home to rare Black Necked Crane, an endangered species, which migrate from the Tibetan plateau in winters. About 250 - 300 of these reside in this beautiful valley. Return to Wangdue Phodrangphodrang in the evening. Overnight at Hotel.
After breakfast leave for Punakha, the valley that lies amidst snow capped mountain peaks, served as capital of Bhutan until 1955. Visit Punakha Dzong built at the confluence of the Po and Mo Chu Rivers in the 17th Century by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel served as capital of Bhutan until 1955. The Dzong houses sacred artifacts and the embalmed body of Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel. One can also enjoy River Rafting at the Mo Cho River which is close to the Punakha Monastery. Drive to Paro. On arrival check in at the hotel and freshen up. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel.
After breakfast go for Paro Sightseeing visit the ruined fortress of Drugyel Dzong which still attracts visitors due to the strategic location of the fort. The fort defended the Paro valley from the Tibetan invasion from the north in the early 17th century. On clear weather Mount Chomolhari 7320 meters can be seen towering over the Dzong. Proceed through the beautiful valley to the watch tower or locally known as Ta Dzong. Visit Ta Dzong Opening Hours whole week, which was built in 1651 as a watchtower. Since 1951 the Dzong has been re established as the National museum and holds fascinating collections of art and religious Thankha paintings. A short walk downhill to the Rinpung Dzong which serves as the administrative centre and school for monks. Walk further down crossing the traditional bridge into Paro Town. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel.
After breakfast transfer to the Airport for onward connection with the beautiful memories of Bhutan.
